Akpene Abalekpor is a psychiatric and mental health nurse practitioner. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University in Omaha, Nebraska, before earning her advanced practice registered nursing degree — specializing in psychiatric and mental health — from Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri.  

Abalekpor is certified in basic life support, advanced cardiovascular and pediatric life support.
